Talk about the guest and their steps in building a podcast relying on a PLN.
The guest, Mo Amir, started his journey in 2018 when he blogged as a hobby. He had never used Twitter before and he started to post things on Twitter that were of interest to him. He started building connections through his real-world network in the digital world when he started podcasting. Soon, along with posting more on Twitter about who he actually was and his true ideas, and making more connections, his podcast became more and more known to people and his voice started reaching out to a lot of different communities.
Can your PLN be used to help professional development post-course? If yes, how? If no, what limitations exist?
I believe my PLN can definitely be used to help my professional development post-course. My connections and feed on Linkedin definitely help me with a lot of understanding of what’s going on within my industry.
Can your PLN be relied on to open professional opportunities?
Yes, I can rely on my PLN for professional opportunities. I have a very strong network on my LinkedIn. Using this network, I have already had a few contracts in the past to build various software projects, but I’ll continue to work with it and improve it to get more opportunities in the future.
